Adamson University stands out again for producing excellent quality talents.
Two of their campus basketball stars, Jerrick Ahanmisi and fellow Falcon Jerrie Pingoy, have been drafted in the Philippine Basketball Association Rookie Draft held online last March 14.
After being selected 10th overall by the Magnolia Hotshots, Ahanmisi became one of the most exciting rookies to be watched on the PBA’s league upcoming season. The 6’1 guard Filipino-Nigerian had his best career milestones in college, where he was selected to be part of the UAAP Mythical Team way back in 2018.

Ahanmisi has an average of 17.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists with 39% field goal from the three-point area. The Athletic-scoring guard has an insane offensive skill and can facilitate scoring opportunities for his teammates. Because of his gifted athleticism and quickness, he can easily defend the opponent’s guard by trying to steal the ball and run the whole team’s offense by himself. Although he still needs to polish his consistency at the game to uplift his new team in the professional league. Meanwhile, Jerry Pingoy was picked in the 5th round of the rookie draft by the Phoenix Fuel Masters.
The 5’11 guard from Cebu had experience ups and downs in his career as an athlete where he became involved in some controversies, academic issues, and injuries in the past. The former back-to-back MVP of the UAAP juniors division never thought of giving up on fulfilling his basketball dreams. Instead, he endured all the hardships in his career, and now he is set to prove the better version of himself in this upcoming PBA season.
