SVST prof is speaker in int’l forum

Dr. Manuel Victor Sapitula, a Theology professor at Saint Vincent School of Theology, was a guest speaker at an international conference celebrating the 500th anniversary of Christianity in the Philippines.

 

The conference, organized by the Center for Empirical Studies in Spirituality, Theology, and Religion-Asia, was held online on May 4, carrying the theme, “Mapping Research Agenda for Spirituality, Theology, & Religion: Beyond 500 Years of Christianity.”

 

Fr. Delfo Canceran, OP, S.Th.D, and Dr. Noel Asiones of the UST will be Dr. Sapitula’s reactors.

 

Dr. Sapitula currently teaches different subjects in SVST’s Masteral and Ph.D. programs. He obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Sociology from UP Diliman and his Ph.D. in the same field from the National University of Singapore (NUS).

 

A professor at UP Diliman before entering the seminary, he has a wide array of academic accomplishments such as research presentations and publications, speakership stints in various local conferences, and membership in educational organizations.
