246th NROTCU welcome 291 fresh graduates

SALUTE - LCDR Reimon T Retaga PN congratulates and welcomes the fresh graduates to the Philippine Navy Reserve Force | Screengrabed on the 246th Naval ROTCU - Adamson University

The 246th NROTCU of Adamson University successfully held a Virtual Graduation Ceremony of Military Science 2, with Adamson University Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Catherine Q. Castañeda as Guest of Honor and Speaker last Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 9 am via Facebook live.

The Reserve Officers Training Corps ( ROTC) is a tasked to train and develop college students in the preparation of Military Service in order to produce capable Armed Forces of the Philippines reservists. The program start with the National Anthem and a message by honorable Cadets.

 

“I feel the excitement and curiosity because I wonder how real the training will be execute in this time of situation”. According to Cad. Lalongisip, a first year student athlete taking up Financial management, she felt happy all through out the semester because she learn things that boost her patriotism.

 

On the other hand, Cad. Santiago of Delta team said that, “ROTC is always her first choice”. She describe her experience as memorable, and new. As they thought how to salute and act properly.

 

LCDR Reimon T. Retaga PN welcome the graduates. Perseverance, Nationalism and Patrionism is some of the many values a student can adopt. For Commandant Retaga, the new graduates are the force multipliers as they are consider a part of their family.

 

On the latter part of the event, COT/COL Ronald C. Faduga 1CL and CD/ CPT Dominador J. Umali 2nd Class introduce the 291 graduates and present the list of awardee, including the winners for quiz bee, artworks and 1 minute challenge. Sea woman 1st Class Almaida A. Addalino PN and Seaman 2nd class Verlinton E. Nialla PN receive the CAD Excellence Award and the Plaque of recognition.
